MEET THE PLANO SENIOR WILDCAT COACHES

 

Cody White
Head Coach / quarterbacks / Athletics Coordinator

Entering his 31st year of coaching and his 18th as a head football coach, Cody White begins his 2nd season as the head coach of the Plano Wildcats.  Coach White came to Plano from Brentwood Academy in Nashville, TN.  Prior to that, he coached in Texas in Huntsville, Highland Park, Montgomery, Odessa Permian, and Denison.  He has coached teams who have advanced to 3 quarterfinals, 6 semi-finals, and won 4 state championships.  He has an overall head coaching record of 140-57.

Coach White is a graduate of Baylor University and has a B.S. in education.  He received his M.Ed. in school administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  He and his wife Lori have three daughters, Ashlynn (25), Kate (22), and Lauren (19). 

Chris Fisher
assistant head coach / Safeties

Coach Fisher is a native of Amarillo and enters his 23nd year of coaching. Coach Fisher will begin his 16th year in the Plano ISD and 14th year with the Wildcats. He has been the Head Football Coach/ Athletic Coordinator at Palo Duro High School and Defensive Backs Coach at Carrollton Creekview before returning to the Wildcats.While with the Wildcats, they have been State Quarterfinalist, State Semifinalist, and nine playoff appearances. Coach Fisher is a graduate of Midwestern State University where he obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance degree. Coach Fisher also has his Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Coach Fisher and his amazing wife Janna have been married for 24 years and have four wonderful children. Darion (PSHS class of 2016), Alyssa who is a graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin, Jaylen (PSHS class of 2023), and Aynslee Grace (PSHS class of 2030)

Chuck Reid
Offensive Coordinator / offensive line 

This is Chuck’s 2nd year as Plano’s Offensive Coordinator, he is a native of Oxford, Ma.  He graduated from Framingham State College in 1990 where he was a four year letter winner as an offensive lineman.  Chuck earned his Master’s Degree in Education from Old Dominion University.  This will be Chuck’s 35th season as a teacher and a coach.  He started his professional journey as a high school coach in Newport News, VA, at  Denbigh and Woodside High Schools.  He then moved back to New England as the Defensive Coordinator at UMass Boston.  After UMB, Chuck served as Head Coach at North Reading, Proctor Academy, and The Loomis Chaffee School.  Eight years ago he and his wife moved to Tennessee and Chuck spent his last two years at Brentwood Academy where he served as the OC in 2022.  Chuck has been married to his wife Terri for 32 years and they are empty nesters. 

Zack Smith
Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers

Zack enters in his 24th year of coaching and his fourth year at Plano Senior High. He will coach Linebackers and will serve as the defensive coordinator. He played football collegiately at Howard Payne University, where he was an All American Southwest Conference Linebacker for HPU. He received his B.S. in kinesiology from Howard Payne and a M.A. in exercise science at TAMU-Commerce.  Over his twenty-four years of coaching he coached in college and in high school. His coaching stops include Kansas Wesleyan University, Austin College, Texas A&M-Commerce, Denison, Round Rock Cedar Ridge, and Lucas Lovejoy. His wife Amy is in education as well, and she teaches language arts in Lovejoy ISD. They have two beautiful girls Zaya 12 and Amaylee 8. He loves coaching, watching sports, and being with his family.

Mark Chilivetis
jv Defensive coordinator / special teams /  Cornerbacks

 Coach Chilivetis is a native of Houston. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in political science before moving to North Texas in 2009. He recently earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Texas A&M. He started his coaching career in PISD at Jasper HS and Clark HS, where he taught social studies and coached freshman football and track. Known as Coach Chili to most, he will be in his 12th year at Plano Senior HS where he currently teaches AVID. In addition to coaching varsity corners, he is also the defensive coordinator for the JV team. In the spring he serves as the Wildcats JV baseball coach. He and his wife, Emily, have lived in the Plano area for 16 years with their two young Wildcats, Abby and Hayes.

Kevin May
Defensive line

Coach May graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University.  He enters his 21st year with Plano ISD, 17 of those years have been at Plano Senior High.  In addition to coaching football at Plano, Coach May also teaches in the special education department which includes the high school’s Peer Assistance program.  For 25 years, Coach May has been married to his incredible wife Cathy.  Together they have two children, Kole (PSHS class of 2023) and Caroline, who assists at all Wildcat football games managing game balls. 

Daniel Maddox
 Linebackers

Coach Maddox is from Marshall, Tx. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BS in Biology and MS in Natural Science. He enters his 19th year of teaching and coaching and his 7th year for Plano High School, his previous years being spent in Lufkin, Carrollton-Farmers Branch and Rockwall-Heath. He teaches Environmental Systems and Physics and also assists with the track program in the Spring. He is married to his wonderful wife Molly, and they have one son named Wyatt and a dog named Jon.

Coach McNeely grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior in 2014. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Science from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2019. He is currently entering his 5th year in coaching and this will be his 3rd year at Plano. Coach McNeely is a Special Education teacher and is an assistant wrestling coach. He enjoys spending time with friends, family, and time outdoors. He has a dog named Halen. 

Anthony Travis
Receivers

Coach Travis graduated from Texas State University with a major in Exercise Sport and Science and a minor in Biology. He moved to the metroplex in 2008 and will be entering his 17th year coaching. He has previously worked at Hays HS, JJ Pearce HS, and Richardson HS. He has been married for 11 years to wife Amanda and has 2 children son Jackson (9) and daughter Riley (7) who attend Shepard elementary. His family enjoys spending their time outside swimming, playing sports, hiking, and anything else that peaks their kids interest. 

jarod haynes
defensive line/kickers

Coach Haynes earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and was a three sport collegiate athlete at Oklahoma Baptist University along with a Master’s degree in Education with the emphasis in Sports Administration from East Central University. While at OBU, Jarod was a part of 4 consecutive NAIA National Champion Swimming and Diving teams,  an individual Conference Title throwing the Javelin for the Track team, and was a kicker/punter for the Football team. After graduating from graduate school Jarod spent 3 years pursuing a professional career as a kicker/punter getting interests from multiple CFL teams. One of those years was spent as a Special Teams Assistant Coach with East Central University. Throughout his career, Jarod has served as a multi-sport coach and certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has accumulated a total of 7 years of coaching experience, in High School, Private Sector, and Collegiate. Some experience includes contributing in training three seperate National Football League pre-draft programs, individually leading training for WNBA and Mens Overseas Pro Basketball players, and individually working with a PGA Tour golfer. Jarod enters his 4th year of teaching and coaching. He will be working with all Specialists as well as the Defensive Line. In his free time, Jarod loves to spend time with his wife Kelsea, play golf and lift weights.

Entering his 20th year of coaching. Coach Pate grew up in Plano and attended Plano Sr. High. He played for the1994 Plano Sr. High football team and helped Plano win a state championship. He graduated college from Texas A&M Commerce with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Communications. Coach Pate is excited to be back home.

Coach Larned is entering his 1st year at Plano Senior High, his 22nd year coaching football, and his 18th year as a high school teacher.  Bryan graduated from Plano East in 1998.  After high school Bryan started at offensive tackle for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for 4 years.  Upon completion of his playing career, Bryan began his coaching career as a student assistant coach at UMHB.  Following a trip to the national championship game in 2004, Coach Larned served as a graduate assistant at Central Methodist University in Missouri.  Following the completion of his Master’s Degree, Coach Larned returned home to Texas to serve as a coach at Crockett, Tarkington, Irving Nimitz, Frisco Lebanon Trail, and Garland high schools.  Coach Larned and his wife Amanda have 4 children: Christian (20, PSHS ‘22) Alecia (18, PSHS ‘24), and Hailey & Bailey (7, PSHS ‘34).

Coach Crisler is entering his 1st year at Plano Senior High and 11th year coaching. He played football collegiately at East Central University. He graduated with a B.S. in Biology and M.Ed in Sports Administration from East Central University. Before coming to Plano, Coach Crisler coached at East Central University, Bartlesville HS, Kemp HS, Cedar Hill HS, and West Mesquite HS. He is married to his wife Toni, and they have three children Peyton, Brantley, and AJ.

Coach Hammontree is entering his first year at Plano Senior High and his 7th year of coaching overall. Previously Coach Hammontree spent his years coaching in east Texas, where he was born and raised. A native of Kilgore Texas, Coach Hammontree played football at Kilgore College before finishing his B.A. in Spanish at University of Texas at Tyler. Coach Hammontree just celebrated his second anniversary with his wife, Alyssa, a coach at Wylie High School. Hunter and Alyssa have a beautiful daughter named Hadley. Outside of work, Coach Hammontree enjoys going to the gym with his wife and spending time with his daughter.

Coach Foley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Athletic Training from TTU Health Science Center. She is entering her 13th year as a Certified Athletic Trainer and her 12th year as a Plano Senior Wildcat. Jacque and her husband, Chris, live in Murphy with their daughters Madelynn (9) and Nora (6).

Coach Marrs grew up in central Illinois where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Illinois College. During his time there, he was a member of the men’s basketball team, track and field team, as well as an Athletic Training student for the football team. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Coach Marrs’ experiences includes: Texas Tech University Men’s Basketball, Oakland Raiders, IMG Academy, and most recently UT-Arlington Men’s Basketball for two seasons. This is starting his fifth year at Plano ISD and first at Plano Senior, with the four previous years working at Clark High School. Chris and his wife, Samantha, live in Sachse with their two dogs and two cats. They enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and hanging out with their friends and family.

Coach Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in Athletic Training degree from Baylor University and her Master of Science in Kinesiology degree from Dallas Baptist University, where she worked with a variety of sports and athletes at the Division I, Division II, and Professional level. She is entering her 12th year as a Certified Athletic Trainer and her 8th year in Plano ISD. In her free time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family and her dog, Lincoln.
